Mt Field National Park is known for its iconic waterfalls, pristine lakes, temperate rainforest and alpine habitats and is teeming with wildlife and birds. Our shutterbug guests frequently capture incredible moments with pademelons, platypus, echidnas and wombats while bird photographers are delighted by a diverse array of species including fantails, wrens, pardalotes, thornbills, honeyeaters, whistlers, wattlebirds, robins, rosellas and cuckoos - just to name a few. Throughout the year, the park’s landscapes transform with the seasons, offering unique opportunities throughout the year to capture the magic of one of Tasmania’s most iconic national parks. On this day out, we explore some of the park’s most breathtaking locations, including Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Tall Trees Forest and Lake Dobson. As we wander the nature trails, you'll be captivated by lush rainforest habitat, towering giant trees, majestic waterfalls and a tranquil alpine environment - all bursting with intricate elements of nature waiting to be discovered. The total cost is based on the group size. Our photography days out are perfect for sharing the experience with non-photographers too. • You will be collected from your Hobart CBD hotel, cruise terminal or another location by arrangement. Self-drivers may opt for pick up in New Norfolk or to meet at the Mt Field National Park Visitor Centre. • Recommended departure time from Hobart: 8:00am. Earlier or later departure times are available to accommodate individual preferences. • The duration of this tour is 9-10 hours; departing from and returning to Hobart. • If booked as a cruise ship shore excursion, the meeting time, tour duration and activities will be adjusted to align with your cruise ship schedule. • Included in this tour is private transport with a professional local guide, fully guided interpretive walks, insightful photography instruction and guidance, national park entry, light snacks and drinking water. • Lunch is at your own expense. For your convenience, a packed or picnic lunch will be pre-ordered to ensure your day is hassle-free. The order will be collected on the day, with payment made separately by you at the time of collection.
